The Springwater Fiddlers Fair and American Craft Show
began in 2009. The festival was born out of the memory of an old Fiddlers
Picnic that had been held many years ago at Hemlock Park, on the north end of
Hemlock Lake.
Proceeds from the fair go back into the community to
fund special projects. The Springwater Fiddlers Fair and American Craft Show
has happily given these awards:
In 2012
$1000.00 was given through the Wayland-Cohocton Art
& Music Scholarship program. A gift of $5oo.00 to Sadie Wagner and $500.00
to Aaron Shafer. We voted to do the same in 2013 as well as providing $1,000
for a Springwater sign and $100 each to the Springwater American Legion
and Gun Club for allowing us to borrow their chairs for our fair.
